Senior Java Developer with Architect experience
GroundWork Inc. is looking for Sr. Java/J2EE Developer with architecture and
design experience. The Sr. Java/J2EE Developer will focus on specifying,
designing, prototyping and manage implementation of Monitoring agents for
different Virtualized environments such as VMWare, Citrix, Amazon WS and
KVM.
The Sr. Java/J2EE Developer will work closely with Product Management and
Sales Engineers on requirements and translates them into a product design and
specifications
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and deploy Monitoring Agents for Virtualized
environments. - Responsible for the entire product process from design through release.
- Communicate effectively with the Product Manager, Sales Engineer on the translation of business requirements into technical specs.
- Work with stakeholders to implement design charters in order for
application enhancements to be compliant with technology roadmap. - Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications;
performs technical analysis and component delivery. - Develop and maintain technical documentation including, but not limited to Architectural specifications, Functional design specifications, User
interface design and Code documentation.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree and minimum of 9 years of commercial application
development experience - 5+ years of Java/J2EE design and architecture experience
- Expert in Java / EE technology preferably JBoss AS, JSF framework,
Hibernate and Spring - Experience with Enterprise Portals; preferably JBoss Portal
- Experience creating and implementing Web Services (SOAP, XML, WSLD,
REST) - Development experience on multiple platforms; preferably Linux (Red Hat,
SuSE, Ubuntu) - Experience with one or more version control systems; preferably
Subversion - Experience with an Eclipse-based IDE
- Strong understanding of web application architectures and web
application design - Strong database/SQL skills; preferably PostgreSQL
Pluses:
- Distributed systems experience.
- Profiling experience.
- Experience with Open Source alternatives for commercial tools.
- Release management experience.
- System administration experience on UNIX/Linux, and Windows.
