Hardware
For a single GroundWork Enterprise Server, the minimum requirements vary with the intended purpose. For short-term or evaluation systems, monitoring small numbers of nodes (i.e 50 or less), a minimal configuration will suffice:
Minimum:
- 64-bit CPU (required)
- 2 CPU, 3 GHz or equivalent
- 4 GB RAM
- 160 GB disk
Recommended:
- Quad-Core Xeon class CPU
- 8 GB RAM
- 200 GB disk for system
- 500 GB disk for system
System requirements for distributed systems are somewhat more complex, but in general, a single server will serve as the “parent” for all configuration data, and as the primary user interface. If you are planning a distributed system, you should read the system planning guide here for information on various architecture choices.
